Kruti Dev is a family of ASCII-mapped Devanagari fonts widely used in Indian state government offices and exam boards. The most common variant, Kruti Dev 010, uses the Remington typewriter keyboard layout — each English keystroke is rendered as a Hindi देवनागरी character by the font. How is WPM calculated — WPM कैसे गिना जाता है?
Net WPM = (correct characters ÷ 5) ÷ elapsed minutes. Every 5 characters = one "word", regardless of actual word length. This matches the formula used by SSC, MPSC, UPPSC and all major Indian government typing exam boards.
What is the difference between Kruti Dev and Mangal?
Kruti Dev is an ASCII-mapped legacy font — each key produces an English ASCII character that the font visually renders as Devanagari.
